PILLAGER - Vernon Wilson, age 82, of Pillager, Minn., was born Oct. 16, 1923, in May Township, Minn., and died Oct. 31, 2005, at St. Cloud Hospital of natural causes. Memorial services will be on Nov. 6, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
He was in the Army from 1946-1947. He managed the Farmers Co-ops in Ferny, S.D., and later in Huron, S.D. In 1963, he moved to Redwood Falls, Minn., and managed a fertilizer plant. Later he moved to Welcome, Minn., and managed a fertilizer plant. About 15 years ago, he retired in Pillager and lived with Jeanette Fornshell.
He married Agnes Schmit and together they had four children, Harlan Albert, Leslie John, Clayton Jo and Avis Marie. They later divorced. He married Vernice Teveldal. They later divorced.
He is survived by sons, Harlan Wilson, of Brainerd, Leslie (Marilyn) Wilson, of Filer, Idaho, Bruce (Patty) Teveldal, of Fairmont, Minn.; daughter, Jackie Stelter (Barry Raygor), of Fairmont; sisters, Viola Ackerson, Mable (Alf) Barnett, of Pillager, and Harriet Rassler, of Cushing; brother, Herb (Gerry) Wilson, of Pillager; many nieces, nephews and cousins; grandchildren, Clayton John Wilson, of Boise, Idaho, Jessica Leanna Wilson, of Brainerd, Theron Teveldal, Neysa Teveldal, Kendra Teveldal, Ethan Teveldal, all of Fairmont, Courtney Stelter, of St. Cloud, and Nicholas Stelter, of Fairmont, Stephanie Mort, of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Elaine Whitehead, of Chubbuck, Idaho; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Grace Wilson; son, Clayton Jo Wilson; daughter, Avis Marie Wilson; granddaughter, Mary Jo Wilson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wilson; brothers, Albert Wilson and Melt Wilson; and brothers-in-law, Jack Ackerson and Bill Rassler.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Staples care center and hospital for the excellent care provided to Vernon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
