Eva L. Swanson

ROUND LAKE -- Eva L. Swanson, 73, of Round Lake, formerly of Brainerd, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice Unit in Duluth. She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Cloquet to William and Ethel Kyle. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1948. Eva married Robert V. Swanson on Feb. 18, 1950. They made their home in Cloquet and together raised their three sons. Bob, the love of her life, passed away in 1990. Since that time, she has enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Eva lived in Brainerd from 1991 until 2001 at which time she moved to her lake home on Round Lake near Tamarack.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert of Cloquet, Phillip (Diane) of Brainerd, and Richard (Becky) of Blaine; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia Jutila of Cloquet; and her brother, William (Janet) Kyle of Shady Cove, Ore.

The family would like to thank the staff of the SMDC Hospice Center for their kindness, compassion and excellent care.

Services: A celebration of Eva's life will take place on July 3, 2004, at her home on Round Lake.
