MCGREGOR -- A 23-year-old McGregor man was hit and killed by a semi-truck Saturday while he was walking on Highway 65, a half mile north of Highway 210 in McGregor.

Agnes M. Oseland, 84, Brainerd, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Lois J. Mogensen
Lois J. Mogensen, age 69, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the Whispering Pines Good Samaritan in Pine River. She was born in Brainerd on April 7, 1934, to Al and Mabel Larson.

Doris A. (Hall) Nix
Doris Ann (Hall) Nix, 39, of Brainerd, died Sunday, Nov. 2, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Services will be private. Doris was loved and will be missed very much by her fianc, Mark Torgerson; her son, Stanley Nix; her mother, Betty Hall; four brothers, Tim, Rick, Julius and Steven Hall; a sister, Mary Grendahl; and several nieces and nephews. Her father preceded her in death. Arrangements entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.

Francis Koering, age 83, resident of Brainerd, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

JORDAN -- Kevin Daniel Marte, 40, of Jordan, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Hospice Homes and Suites in Elko. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples with the Rev. Robin Collins officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples. Arrangements entrusted to Brenny Funeral Home of Staples.

BEMIDJI -- Robert Carl Schmidt, 72, of Bemidji, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at his home in Bemidji.

ROUND LAKE -- Eva L. Swanson, 73, of Round Lake, formerly of Brainerd, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice Unit in Duluth. She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Cloquet to William and Ethel Kyle. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1948. Eva married Robert V. Swanson on Feb. 18, 1950.
