The Northeast Brainerd community meeting will be 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Garfield Elementary School.
Discussion topics will include changes at the East Brainerd Mall and school facilities.
P.E.O. Chapter DV to meet
P.E.O. Chapter DV will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Mary Oberg's home. LaVonne Neff will assist. Sue Wiger will present the program.
Garden meetings set
The Brainerd Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at the Paul Bunyan Nature Learning Center. Hostesses are Marlys Ray and Roberta Doucette. Members will make wreaths or swags under the direction of Burt Knandel.
The garden club board meeting will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Brainerd Public Library.
BHS bands to perform concert
Brainerd High School bands will present an indoor marching band concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Tornstrom Auditorium in Washington Middle School.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for students.
Man to share life story at Cass County schools
WALKER -- Pete Feigal will share his life story and the wisdom he has gained in living with multiple sclerosis and depression here this week.
He will speak in five Cass County schools and at evening public meetings.
The nationally recognized speaker, actor and artist will present programs for students and faculty at schools in Pillager, Pine River, Remer, Walker and Cass Lake.
Programs open to the public will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Cass Lake High School, Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Pine River, Wednesday at United Church of Christ in Remer and Thursday in the Walker High School cafeteria.
Feigal's subject will be "A Gift to be Opened -- Not a Problem to be Solved", a message of solutions, humor, compassion and hope.
Teens and adults are welcome to attend any of the public meetings. Dessert will be served.
Cass County/Leech Lake Children's Initiative sponsors these programs under a Minnesota Department of Human Services grant.
