Nathan Hudrlik TDs rally C-I

CROSBY - Two Nathan Hudrlik second-quarter touchdowns helped the Crosby-Ironton Rangers erase a 14-0 deficit as they went on to win Saturday's Section 6-2A semifinal game against Holdingford 35-28.

The Rangers' Matthew Hudrlik scored with less than a minute remaining in the game on a 3-yard run to seal the victory for the 10-0 and top-seeded Rangers, who advance to a section final for the first time since 1994.

Mark Hoge hit Alex Bundy on a 30-yard touchdown pass near the end of the first half to give C-I a 20-14 halftime edge. Hoge caught five passes for 89 yards and added an interception.

Justin Edmundson recovered a Holdingford fumble and Phil Kuhlmann found Mitch Gutzman for a 10-yard touchdown in the third quarter to put C-I up 28-14.

Holdingford came back to tie on a Victor Lumley 66-yard run and a 2-yard run by Bryce Feia.

Kuhlman was 9-15 for 150 yards and the Gutzman touchdown.

Matthew Hudrlik caught four passes for 35 yards and rushed for 87 yards on 17 carries. Nathan Hudrlik covered 84 yards on 18 carries as the Rangers outgained Holdingford 388-322.
