MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Former Fingerhut Cos. catalog subsidiaries Figi's and Arizona Mail Order have been sold by Federated Department Stores to JPMorgan Partners LLC, the private equity arm of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The sale did not include the former Fingerhut Popular Club Plan, which remains under the Federated umbrella, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Arizona Mail Order, headquartered in Tucson, Ariz., markets women's apparel through its Old Pueblo Traders, Bedford Fair, Willow Ridge, Lew Magram, Brownstone Studio, Regalia, Intimate Appeal, and Coward Shoe catalog titles.
Figi's, based in Marshfield, Wis., markets food and specialty gift products through its Figi's and JF Collection catalog titles.
Those direct marketing businesses, with more than 3.7 million active customers, will be combined into a new holding company named Crosstown Traders Inc.
