Kate Bjornson was named most valuable varsity player of the Brainerd Warriors girls' soccer team at its season-ending banquet.

Warrior bowlers win
Brainerd defeated St. Cloud Tech 4-1 and Sartell 4-1 at Granite Bowl in St. Cloud last weekend.
Sauk Rapids defeated Sartell and St. Cloud Cathedral to remain tied with Brainerd for first place in the Central Minnesota High School League.
In the first match, the Warriors were led by Adam Pence and Chris Yde with .933 and .875 percentage of fills, respectively.
The Warriors were led by Abe Kretzman and Curt Ross in their second match with 1.000 and .875 percentage of fills.
Pence had 21 of 30 possible strikes for the two matches. Kenny Barnhardt had a perfect day for the two matches with four strikes, two spares and no open frames.
Brainerd's last regular-season match is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Granite Bowl South. The Warriors will bowl St. Cloud Apollo and Sauk Rapids to determine the conference champion.
