MAHNOMEN (AP) -- Authorities on Tuesday arrested a man who was involved in a crash in Mahnomen County that killed four people.
Armando Neeland, 19, whose last known address was Fargo, N.D., was driving one of two vehicles that collided east of Mahnomen on Saturday afternoon, the State Patrol said.
Two passengers in Neeland's car were killed, as were the driver and passenger in the other vehicle.
Neeland faces four felony counts of criminal vehicular operation, the State Patrol said. Authorities said Neeland failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a westbound vehicle at an intersection on state Highway 200.
He was arrested after authorities searched one of his relative's houses in rural Bagley and taken to the Pennington County Jail in Thief River Falls. He was expected to appear in Mahnomen County Court on Wednesday or Thursday.
After the accident, Neeland had been taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, where he was treated and released.
