Posted: Saturday, October 31, 2009

The Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division will have an H1N1 flu clinic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the National Guard Armory, 1115 Wright St., Brainerd.

There is no charge for this vaccine. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any children. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointments will be made.

This clinic will be for the following people: Flu shot for children ages 6 months through 23 months of age and FluMist for ages 24 months through 35 months of age. In addition, FluMist is for ages 2-49 for healthy household contacts (anyone living in the home) or caregivers of infants less than 6 months of age.

Those who have a chronic health condition such as asthma, diabetes or a heart condition will not qualify for FluMist. Also, pregnant women cannot receive a FluMist. Anyone coming who does not fit the above criteria will be asked to attend a future clinic.

For the latest H1N1 information, call the Crow Wing County 24-hour flu hotline at 822-7022.
