Archie V. Anderson was called home on Oct. 28, 2008. He was born in Wadena on Nov. 13, 1952, to Archie V. Sr. and Doris Anderson. He passed away at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center after a long fight with Huntington's disease.
He served his country in the United States Army. Archie worked many years at the Brainerd State Hospital. He married Trude Henagin in June 1980. They raised four children before divorcing. Archie spent much of his life hunting and fishing, sharing his love for the outdoors with family and friends. He was a longtime friend of Bill W.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne (Mike) LaFlex, Brainerd, Joshua, Hopkins, Cpl. Craig (Christina), U.S. Marine Corps, California, Jesse, Brainerd; and granddaughters, Cordelia and Alexandra.
Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Sandi (Bryan) Haase, Tony (Marilynn) Uselman, Roger Uselman and Jo Marie Hanson.
He will be met on the other side by Archie Sr., Doris L. (Anderson Uselman) Armstrong; nephew, Kevin Haase; and brother-in-law, Tim Hanson.
A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 408 N. Seventh St. in Brainerd.
Memorials are preferred to the Huntington Society.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd.
