RANDALL - Mary L. LaBar, 88, of Randall, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Little Falls, Minn. Funeral services for Mary will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at the Randall Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Randall Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
Mary Louise was born June 23, 1919, in New York, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Plasek. She moved with her parents at an early age to Denver where she attended school. Later, the family moved to Staples, Minn. She was united in marriage to Earl LaBar. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Nashwauk, Minn., where Earl worked in the iron mines and she was a homemaker and raised her family. When they retired, they moved to Hill City and later Randall. She attended Randall Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Randall VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, cooking and drawing.

Mary will be missed by her daughters, Delores (Jim) Witucki, of Little Falls, and Karen (LeRoy) Walker, of Little Falls; her sons, Ronald LaBar, of Minneapolis, Gerald (Cheryl) LaBar, of Minneapolis, and Galen (Janet) LaBar, of Spring Lake Park; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her brother, Frank Plasek, of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Gary; her daughters, Kathleen and Agnes; her sister Agnes; and one granddaughter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Randall Funeral Chapel.
