Open skating will be conducted Thursday at Brainerd civic center

There will be open skating from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Brainerd Area Civic Center.
Cost is $3 per skater. No hockey sticks or pucks are allowed.
Kinship Partners Coats for Kids' distribution planned
The Kinship Partners Coats for Kids donations will be distributed from 1-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at World on Wheels, 722 NW 7th Street , Brainerd. Many adult coats will also be distributed.
For the past 16 years Kinship Partners, Crystal Cleaners and BL Broadcasting have partnered to provide coats to children and families in need. Additional partners this year include the I.A. O'Shaughnessy Family Foundation and Brainerd Sunrise Sertoma.
