The Central Lakes College Music Department, in conjunction with the CLC Spanish Department, will present a celebration of Hispanic music at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus.
The Jazz Band and Community Band, directed by Steve Anderson, will offer examples of Hispanic music, Latin jazz, Mexican and Spanish folk music. Selections will range from a traditional Mexican march to the familiar strains of the heroic entrance of the Matadors. The Jazz Band will feature Latin rhythms and percussion.

The Spanish department will show Hispanic cultural displays in the lobby and serve refreshments during the intermission in observance of Hispanic Awareness Month.
The concert also will be presented in conjunction with the Heartland Animal Rescue Team. One-third of the proceeds from the concert will go to HART to help with the cost of housing and feeding rescued animals.
Admission is $3 at the door. CLC students with identification and children 12 and under will be admitted free.
There will be a freewill offering for HART at the door.
