HERMANTOWN (AP) -- Republican candidates in Minnesota hope to get a boost in the final days of the campaign when Vice President Dick Cheney leads a rally Friday near Duluth.
Several GOP candidates are expected to attend the rally at Hermantown Middle School, including U.S. Senate candidate Norm Coleman, gubernatorial candidate Tim Pawlenty, state auditor candidate Patricia Awada; secretary of state candidate Mary Kiffmeyer and attorney general candidate Tom Kelly.
Dan Urshan, a longtime member of the Republican Party and former mayor of Hermantown, said Cheney will bring along some unnamed special guests.
