FLENSBURG -- Pauline Dolores Hlad, 86, Flensburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
She was born April 12, 1916, in Culdrum Township to Michael and Katherine (Maciej) Super. She attended country school near Flensburg. She married Joseph Hlad on June 21, 1932, in Flensburg. They lived and farmed in Culdrum Township until retiring in 1974. Her husband died Nov. 5, 1991. She sold the farm and moved to Flensburg. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality and the Flensburg Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Hlad, Rockford, and Larry Hlad, Randall; three daughters, Pat Kempenich, Rockford, Gerrie Gall, St. Louis Park, and Shirley Bliese, Swanville; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Super, Little Falls; and a sister, Genevieve Zilka, Sauk Centre.
Her husband; seven brothers, Pete, Frank, Phil, Andrew, Adam, John and Mike Super; and four sisters, Stella Grauer, Sophie Jelinski, Mary Hammernick and Rosie Kedrowski, died earlier.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg with the Rev. Raymond Donnay officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, with the Rosary Sodality praying the rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and an hour before services Saturday at the chapel.
