Youth basketball

Brainerd's in-house basketball program begins Nov. 16.

This program is for boys and girls in grades 5-8. The program will be offered after school at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.

Players may register in the Forestview main office.

Travel team

Tryouts for boys and girls in grades 5-8 will be Nov. 9-10 at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.

Fifth grade will try out from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; sixth grade from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; seventh grade from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and eighth grade from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Payment and registration will be needed that night to participate in tryouts.

A parent informational meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. for grades 5-6. Parent meeting for grades 7-8 will be at 8:30 p.m.

BYAA registration

Registration for the Brainerd Youth Athletic Association, and a free clinic for students in grades 3-4, is scheduled Nov. 16 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. at the Forestview Middle School gym in Baxter.

A free clinic for students will be from 6 to 7:15 p.m.

Varsity boys' basketball staff and varsity players will put on the BYAA clinic and travel team tryouts.
