Word from St. Paul that Minnesota Community College faculty members had ratified a contract was greeted with relief this morning at Brainerd Community College. Both provost Sally Ihne and faculty president Jeanne Goodwin expressed happiness.

The first steps toward installing a fluoridation system for the city's water supply were taken last night at the Brainerd Water and Light Board meeting. The superintendent was authorized to seek quotations for starting the system and purchasing chemicals.

Fire destroyed the two-story registration and recreation building at Gull Lake Resort last night. George Gmeinder, resort owner, said the building was 80 years-old and was originally a farm house, and later was known as the Gull Lake Hotel.
