State Rep. Charles Halsted was honored by a capacity crowd at a dinner at Harold's Club here Saturday night. Rep. Halsted received praise for 20 years of service in the State Legislature with his work as chairman of the Highway Committee singled out for particular emphasis.

Despite the absence of Ben Taylor who was called to the army, the Brainerd Warriors enjoyed their finest season since 1938 with a newcomer Coach Kermit Aase. The Warriors rolled up 63 points, Jim Gardner leading the scoring with 26 points.

The Brainerd High School football team met defeat at the hands of the fast Little Falls Eleven Saturday, being taken into camp by a score of 66-0. Brainerd played a better game than the score would indicate.
