WINONA (AP) -- The reconstruction and renovation of the old Winona Courthouse is nearly complete and county officials expect to move back in by the end of the year.
The $9 million project was initiated after the building was flooded when a sprinkler broke in September 2000.
With walls being painted and antique oak woodwork being reinstalled to give back its historical appeal, the interior is beginning to again look like a courthouse.
