Brainerd paintball team takes first

A three-person Brainerd team took first place in its division of the Polar Bear Paintball Series.

The team includes captain Bryce Goodrich, Dona Goodrich and Shaun Chisholm. The team name is Synergy. This was their first year of tournament play.

The team spent five weekends throughout the summer traveling throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin to compete in tournaments.

Dona and Bryce are mother and son; there were no other mother-son combinations in tournament paintball. Dona is in her mid-40s, and there were very few players in that age range, in addition to very few female players at all.
