Lenz, Michaelson high school Heisman candidates

Seniors Megan Lenz and Matt Michaelson have been selected as Pequot Lakes' Wendy's High School Heisman winners.

Lenz and Michaelson will represent Pequot Lakes in the upcoming statewide competition.

Lenz is a six-time letterwinner in tennis and a three-time MVP on the girls' golf team. She is active in several school groups including publications, Interact and National Honor Society. She volunteers as a youth sports basketball coach. Her future plans are to attend St. Cloud State University and major in radiology. She is the daughter of Monica Sergent.

Michaelson is a captain of the conference championship football team and also plays basketball for the Patriots. He's a member of National Honor Society and plans to attend a four-year college and pursue a career in nursing. He is the son of Bob and Ann Michaelson.
