Omann leads Pierz

PIERZ - John Omann rushed seven times for 144 yards and scored twice as Pierz jumped out to a 48-0 lead by halftime in a 48-12 victory over West Central Area in the Section 6-2A quarterfinals Tuesday.

Cody Stangl scored three times in the first half for the second-seeded Pioneers. Mitch Woitalla added another score to cement the Pierz victory as a majority of Pioneer starters sat out the second half.
