Russell L. Ruud

PALISADE - Russell Lawrence Ruud, age 83, of Palisade, Minn., died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Newport Beach, Calif., due to a heart attack.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at 1 p.m. from Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade with the Rev. William Sass officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. services at the church. Military honors will be provided by the Aitkin VFW and American Legion Posts. Burial will be in the Holden Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
