David J. Gunderson Sr.
BLAINE David Julian Gunderson Sr., 62, of Blaine, died Oct. 25, 2004, with his loving family by his side.
He graduated in 1960 from Brainerd High School. David was a Navy veteran who proudly served his country in Vietnam. Preceded in death by father, James Gunderson; brother, Dean Gunderson; and granddaughter, Jessica Nyen. Survived by Amie, his wife of 30 years; children, Lisa (Rick) Nyen, David (Sheila) Nyback, David Jr. (Sara) and James Gunderson; grandchildren, Douglas, Heather, Joseph, Ashley, Sarah and Annika; mother, Esther Billi Gunderson; brothers, Donald, Pete and Duane; sisters, Sandra Skoog, Marsha Biskupski and Gloria Houston. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at North Heights, 1700 Highway 96 at Highway 10, Arden Hills (Entrance B). Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Holcomb-Henry-Boom, 515 Highway 96 at Mackubin, Shoreview, and at the church on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
