Mason sparks Pillager to Section 6, Class 1A final
PILLAGER -- Tony Mason ran all over Browerville, to the tune of 275 yards, as the second-seeded Pillager Huskies rallied for a 16-6 victory over No. 3 Browerville in the Section 6, Class 1A semifinals Saturday.
"We just pounded the ball for four quarters," Pillager head coach Dan Boushee said. "In the second half we really wore them down."
Pillager scored all 16 of its points in the second half, courtesy of two short Mason touchdown scampers.
Browerville led 6-0 at halftime after a Ben Brown 1-yard run.
