Doris Laumann
MANKATO -- Doris Laumann, 89, Mankato, formerly of Brainerd, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Mankato House Health Care Center.
She was born July 1, 1913, in Fairdale, N.D., to Theadore and Ida (Overby) Helgeson. She graduated from Brainerd High School and received her nurse's training at Anchor Hospital in Minneapolis. She married Laurence Laumann on July 5, 1939, in St. Peter. They lived in Brainerd. She worked for more than 30 years as a registered nurse for St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was a member of Community Evangelical Covenant Church in Brainerd.
Survivors include three sons, Ron Laumann, Peoria, Ariz., Bill Laumann, North Mankato, and Steve Laumann, Rice Lake, Wis.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma Young, Deer Lodge, Mont., Betty Cervantes, Riverside, Calif., and Helen Gold, Brainerd; and a brother, Robert Helgeson, Red Wing.
Her husband died earlier.
Services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
