U.S. secretary of interior to conduct Brainerd briefing

Dirk Kempthorne, U.S. secretary of the interior, will travel to Brainerd on Friday to conduct a briefing and campaign for former U.S. Sen. Rod Grams, the Republican candidate for the Eighth Congressional District.
Kempthorne previously served nearly two terms as governor of Idaho, one term as U.S. senator from Idaho and as mayor of Boise, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Senate with Grams.
The briefing/reception is set for 5-7 p.m. Friday at Iven's on the Bay in rural Brainerd.
