Harold Rademacher's 20 by 63 foot "Clam Shell Queen" paddle boat churns its way among the islands of the Whitefish Chain. Rademacher built the hydraulic craft at his Lakeside home.

30 years ago (1976)

Halloween means pumpkins. And most of the pumpkins that Brainerd area residents will carve up for Halloween probably came from Tony Mogenson's pumpkin patch.

The Golden Glove boxing season will open Nov. 1. Added to the coaching staff this year will be John Sundby, standout boxer in this region for the past nine years.
