LEADER Bernice Shake, age 92, of Leader, died at her home Sunday morning, Oct. 24, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Swan Valley Lutheran Church in Leader. Relatives will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
She is survived by her daughter whom she's lived with since her husband Gordon's death in 1987, JoAnn (Jack) Lund, of Leader; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; a daughter, Donna Simons; and a sister, Florence Sychs.
