FOLEY (AP) -- A homeless man who drowned in the Mississippi River in Watab Township has been identified as Stanley Preston Bell.
Bell, 49, was fishing on a dock Tuesday afternoon when he went into the river, said Benton County Sheriff Jim McMahon. Bystanders pulled Bell out of the water but rescue personnel were unable to revive him.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Bell's death an accident.
