CROSSLAKE - Virginia Joyce Rudquist, age 83, of Crosslake, died on Oct. 23, 2007, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Jan. 7, 1924, in Grasston Township, Minn., to Clarence and Amanda (Nystrom) Lindroth. She is a WWII U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a member of the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post No. 500. She is a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church and the Crosslake Red Hats.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Sandra Wessling) Johnston, of Buffalo, Barton (Penny) Johnston, of Deerwood, John Reynolds, of Merrifield; stepson, Skip (Kathy) Rudquist, of Merrifield; stepdaughter, Donna George, of Anoka; five brothers, Layton Lindroth, of Darby, Mont., Clifford Lindroth, of Pine City, Robert (Alice) Lindroth, of Deerwood, Arthur (Joann) Lindroth, of Brainerd, Alden Jennison, of Deerwood; two sisters, Charlotte Mosher, of Bemidji, Lorraine McCarvill, of Richfield; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Crosslake Lutheran Church. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Military honors will be given by the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
