Late relay dominance propels Brainerd

Siri Smith and Sarah Dens each picked up wins and helped Brainerd's 400-yard freestyle relay team to first during the Warriors 101-85 Central Lakes Conference victory over the St. Cloud Tech Tigers Friday at Brainerd High School.

Smith won the 100 backstroke with a 1:04.9 and Dens captured the 50 free with a 25.97. Those two along with Alex Erickson and Grace Bymark won the 400 relay with a 3:48.85. Brainerd also finished second in the 400 free to secure 12 points and ensure the win.

Katy Etterman continued her supremacy in diving by grabbing 224.25 points for the win. Laura Gol won the 500 free with a 5:36.09.

The Warriors head into the conference meet with an 8-1 conference record and 9-1 overall mark.
