Raiders open state against Ridgewater
The Central Lakes College Raiders volleyball will open play in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference state tournament against Ridgewater (South Division No. 1) at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Thief River Falls.
Also on Saturday, CLC (North No. 3) plays Fergus Falls (South No. 4) at 2:30 p.m. and Northland (North No. 2) at 5:30 p.m.
The other pool is Itasca (North No. 4), Anoka (South No. 3), Rochester (South No. 2) and Hibbing (North No. 1).
Consolation and championship semifinals are at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday. Third place and consolation championship are at 1 p.m. Sunday with the championship match at 3 p.m.
Juniors volleyball camp Nov. 6 at CLC
The Central Lakes College volleyball team will conduct a juniors volleyball camp for grades 5-8 on Nov. 6 at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
The event runs from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. to accommodate the early-out school day and allow youngsters to remain at school for the camp. No transportation home is offered. The camp fee is $5 per person.
