BAXTER - Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter will host its second annual harvest turkey supper from 5-7 p.m. Saturday. They are pre-selling tickets for immediate seating at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. but tickets will also be available at the door. A complete turkey supper with all the trimmings will be served, topped off with pumpkin and apple dessert. Ticket prices are $8 for adults; $4 for children 5-11 and free for children 4 and under. Contact Kathy Hall at 828-4310 to purchase tickets. Take-out meals are also available.

Bethesda Lutheran Church bazaar

MALMO - The Bethesda Lutheran Church in Malmo will have its bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The church is located on Highways 7 and 18 on the northwest corner of Mille Lacs Lake. There will be a cookie walk, lefse demo, bake sale, quilts, crafts, glassware, garden art and a silent auction.

Trixie's Halloween Extravaganza

NISSWA - Trixie's Halloween Extravaganza will be from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31 at Christ Community Church in Nisswa. Those attending are encouraged to wear a costume.

There will be games and candy for the kids. Hot dogs, floats and popcorn will be available for a freewill offering.

Eckankar discussion

There will be a free Eckankar discussion with spiritual exercises from noon to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Brainerd Public Library, 416 S. 5th Street, Brainerd. Rummage/bake sale

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 408 N. 7th St., Brainerd, is having a rummage/bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Rev. Canon Sandi Holmberg will be here for the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist service. Sunday school for pre-K through fourth grade at 10 a.m. and for youth at 11 a.m.

Lakes Area Parish Nurse meeting

The Good Samaritan Society-Woodland, 200 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd, will have the Lakes Area Parish Nurse meeting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Presentation will be by Donna Larson, NAMI. Any questions, call Joy at 855-6639.

Great pumpkin party

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 South 6th Street, Brainerd, will have the Great Pumpkin Party from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Events are planned for children through fifth grade. They include a cake walk, cookie decorating, games, Boney Boulevard where children collect treats and the Scary Story Room. Food and snacks will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a food or cash contribution for the local food shelf.
