Roth wins, Cardinals claim two seconds

HOWARD LAKE - Kaitlyn Roth ran a 15:42 earning individual honors and four Staples-Motley boys finished in the top 20 as the Cardinals girls and boys each claimed seconds Thursday at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Invite.

S-M's Anna Pogreba finished fourth followed by Katie Stone's 12th and Kyann Nyhus' 17th-place finish. Sonya Theis led the fourth place Pierz Pioneers with her 14th place time of 17:02.

S-M's Gunner Johnson finished second followed by Jordan Bendson in fourth, Isaac Fuhrman 15th and Josh Freese in 18th place. Jake Poster was the first Pioneer to cross the line at 20:01 placing him 44th.
