Halloween party and fall fiesta slated

There will be a Halloween party and fall fiesta noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Moose Lodge, 219 S. Ninth St., Brainerd, for children 12 and under.

Children can have their picture taken with Winnie the Pooh or one of the 101 Dalmations. There will be cookie decorating, crafts, games and free hot dogs and pop.

Wellstone documentary to be shown at CLC

A documentary on the lives of Paul and Sheila Wellstone will be shown at 2 and 7 p.m. Wednesday at Central Lakes College.

The showings will be in Room E203 at 2 p.m. and in Room E354 at 7 p.m. The film is being presented by People Uniting for Peace Student Group. A freewill donation will be accepted to retire the debt incurred by the independent filmmakers.

Brainerd mayor makes Kiwanis proclamation

Brainerd Mayor James Wallin has proclaimed the week of Oct. 24 as Brainerd Kiwanis Club Week in recognition of the club's 50 years of service in Brainerd.

Affordable health tests available in area
