ALEXANDRIA -- The Brainerd Warriors lost their final regular-season match of the volleyball season to eighth-ranked and Central Lakes Conference champion Alexandria 15-4, 15-11, 15-8 Monday.
"It was a reality check, and now we know what we have to do for the playoffs," Warriors coach Heidi Hahn said.
The playoffs start Friday for the Warriors, as they will be the fourth seed and host No. 5 St. Cloud Tech at 7 p.m.
Leading the way for Brainerd on Monday were Joan Ebnet and Lauren Kirkpatrick. Ebnet ended the night by going 8-10 serving with three aces, eight kills and 12 digs. Kirkpatrick was 7-7 behind the line, added 15 set assists, four digs, and a kill.
