Edward J. Mead Jr.

GARRISON -- Edward Joseph Mead Jr., 85, Garrison, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at his home.

He was born May 15, 1916, in Baltimore to Edward and Alice (McGinity) Mead Sr. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison and the Elks Lodge No. 615 Brainerd and the Moose Lodge in Brainerd.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Mead Halverson, Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Mead, Baltimore; two sisters, Kitty Dougherty, Baltimore, and Mary Tess Wright, Baltimore; and a special friend, Rosine Naumann, Garrison.

His first wife, Mary Katherine Flaherty Mead, his second wife, Betty Barton Mead, and his special friend, Reva Kraft, died earlier.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison with Father Vincent Ott officiating.

Friends may call an hour before services Friday at the church.
