MOTLEY -- Elmer Arthur Hein, 74, Motley, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Plainview to William and Martha (Radke) Hein. He attended school in Plainview. He worked as a milk hauler in Plainview. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Lucy Evers on April 2, 1958, in Nashua, Iowa. In 1960, they moved to their farm south of Staples. He was a member of the Staples VFW Post No. 1910.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Zarling, Plainview, and Frieda Fick, Plainview.
His wife, his parents and two half brothers died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Motley Public Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Stumbo officiating.
Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
