The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers announced Wednesday the hiring of Dustin Anaas as assistant general manager.
Anaas, who will enter his third season in the Northwoods League, is looking forward to making an impact in the Lunkers' front office and building on their successful 2009 season.
"I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to join the Lunkers staff," Anaas said in a news release. "The Lunkers are one of the rising franchises in the Northwoods League and I look forward to being a part of such an outstanding organization in a supportive community."
A native of Minneapolis, Anaas is a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in communication arts. His first season in the league was spent as an intern with the Madison Mallards before being hired as promotional coordinator for the Lunkers' inaugural season in 2009.
"Dustin brings a level of passion and energy that is hard to find," Lunkers owner/general manager Joel Sutherland said. "His league experience and enthusiasm for his work will serve him well as we prepare for the 2010 season and we are excited to have him back as part of our front office."
