By December, the Brainerd School Board is expected to reach a decision on how to deal with its elementary student enrollment growth projections. School administrators have presented the board with five options.
On Tuesday, the district is hosting a community forum on demographics to help board members and the community understand land development and population trends that will affect the district and region over the next 10-20 years.
The forum is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Brainerd High School Little Theater.
Superintendent Steve Razidlo said the panel will include George Orning, a comprehensive planning consultant; city and/or county planners from within the district; and a superintendent from a school district that has recently wrestled with projected growth issues.
Razidlo said those who attend the forum will be able to submit questions to the panel.
