Firefighters respond to alarm

The Brainerd Fire Department responded at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday to the Laestadian Church, 1501 S. Eighth St., for what turned out to be a false alarm.
Gas smell investigated
The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a report of a gas smell at 2:03 a.m. Wednesday at a residence on the 1000 block of South Ninth Street. A gas leak was not found.
Nisswa firefighters respond
NISSWA - Nisswa firefighters responded to a report of a tree that fell on a Minnesota Power electrical line at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Poplar Avenue. Firefighters secured the area until Minnesota Power could fix the line.
