Warriors sixth seed in volleyball

The Brainerd Warriors are seeded sixth in the North Subsection 8-3A volleyball tournament and will play at No. 3 Bemidji at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the opening round.
The Brainerd/Bemidji winner will play at South No. 2 seed Sauk Rapids at 7 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinals.
Alexandria is the top seed in the North. St. Michael Albertville is No. 1 in the South and St. Cloud Tech is No. 2.
Semifinals are at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at a neutral site. The championship is 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at a neutral site.
Conference honors Flyer
Megan Rakow of Little Falls has been named the Central Lakes Conference performer of the week ending Oct. 18.
Rakow, a senior libero, had 27 digs in one match last week.
