Guentzel, Agates run past Rangers

Two Harbors gained 502 yards on the ground and held C-I's passing game to 105 yards.

"Turnovers and our inability to stop the run were the keys," said Ranger head coach Mike Gindorff. "We didn't match up well with them. We were faster, but they were much bigger than us."

C-I had two interceptions and lost two fumbles, but the Rangers Reed Olander and Nathan Hudrlik recovered fumbles, with Hudrlik returning his for a 67-yard touchdown to open the scoring.

Derik Midthun scored on a 21-yard run for a 14-14 first quarter score.

C-I opened the second half with a 5-yard run from Reed Olander and Matthew Hudrlik, who rushed for 174 yards on 13 carries, scored from 15 yards out to hand C-I a 28-24 third-quarter lead.

Then Two Harbors scored 22 fourth-quarter points to complete the upset.

Mark Hoge scored on a 45-yard pass from Matthew Hudrlik in the fourth quarter to finish the season with 16 touchdown receptions and Nathan Hudrlik rushed for 102 yards on eight carries as C-I finishes 5-4.
