Unlimited Learning class slated
Gary Payne, Central Lakes College sociologist, will present an Unlimited Learning class from 1:30-3 p.m. Nov. 11 on the positive side of Fidel Castro that challenges notions of democracy and dictatorship and shows how the fatally flawed U.S. Bay of Pigs Invasion influenced Cuba's history.
Payne will explore the legacy of the intensely controversial Castro and his socialist experiment after a half-century of dictatorial rule as well as the role of U.S. policy in the history of Cuba under Castro.
The class will offer a photographic tour from three trips to the island nation over the last two decades.
