The Cuyuna Lakes State Trail affords bicyclists, joggers and the like in the Brainerd lakes area the opportunity to get away from it all - without actually getting too far away.

This time of year, you'll experience leaf-covered trails that stretch through brilliantly colored woodlands, trail-side scenic overlooks with views of quaint mine pit lakes, not-so-distant views of communities that dot Cuyuna Country, such as Ironton and sites such as Croft Mine Historic Park, where the 5-plus mile paved trek begins at the trailhead in the background.
