Cass Lake teen shot to death

CASS LAKE - One young man is dead and two others were wounded in an early morning shooting Friday in rural Cass Lake.

The shooting was reported to authorities shortly before 6 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff's office said. Responding officers located the three victims at a rural property north of Cass Lake. Brandon Humphrey, 17, Cass Lake, died. Wounded were Shea Fleming, 20, and Charles Croaker Jr., 20, both of Cass Lake. Their conditions were not immediately released.

Investigators from Cass County, Leech Lake Tribal Police, Pike Bay Police, Cass Lake Police and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are continuing collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. No suspects in the shootings were arrested as of Saturday.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department did not release additional information on potential suspects or details of how the shooting took place or why.
