STAPLES -- Living Legacy Gardens will offer a class on making and decorating a balsam wreath from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Assembly Room (C168) at Central Lakes College in Staples.

Burt Knandel, retired floriculture instructor at CLC, will instruct. Knandel will use a wreath-making machine to form fresh balsam wreaths and demonstrate ideas for decorating the wreath. By the end of the class, participants will have completed a holiday wreath.

Assorted ribbons, cones and other decorations will be available, but participants can bring other items to decorate their wreath. They also should bring pruning shears, gardening gloves and scissors to the class.

This class will be offered to the first 40 people registered. Call (218) 894-5161 by Oct. 31. Cost is $20 each.

This is the final twilight workshop for 2003. These twilight workshops have been made available through the cooperative efforts of the Central Lakes College Ag Center and Staples-Motley Community Education.
