ST. LEO (AP) -- A rural St. Leo teen was hospitalized in serious condition after being accidentally shot in the back Sunday afternoon.
Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Rich Rollins said the boy, 15, was hurt when a 20-gauge shotgun being handled by his 11-year-old sister accidentally discharged.
The two were in a building on the family farm near St. Leo in southwestern Minnesota at the time.
The teen was taken to the Canby hospital, then airlifted to a Sioux Falls, S.D., hospital.
