Marion Veith

PIERZ -- Marion Veith, 76, Pierz, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at home.

She was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Pierz to Joseph and Anna (Otremba) Gohl. She attended country school in Pierz and high school in Little Falls. She married Raymond Veith on Oct. 5, 1943, in Pierz. They farmed near Pierz for two years. They moved to Marble where she was a homemaker. In 1988, they retired in Pierz.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Veith, Marble, and David Veith, Calumet; four daughters, Jeanne Avery, Little Falls, Delrose Furlong, Calumet, Mary Veith, Little Falls, and Leona Blauert, Bovey; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Gohl, Pierz; and three sisters, Evelyn Smith, Lastrup, Delores Tretter, Aurora, and Helen Larson, Little Falls.

Her husband; four grandsons; three brothers, Leonard, Lawrence and Alfred; and three sisters, Agnes, Theresa and Jean, died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz with Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
